Who am I?

I am a third-year Computer Science student, specializing in Computer Network Engineering and Security, at the University of Technology and Economics in Warsaw. My focus is on Linux system administration and network infrastructure. I value order, accuracy, and repeatability in my work, which allows me to efficiently solve problems and maintain system stability. I currently work as a Junior Administrator at an IT outsourcing company.

In my free time, I deepen my knowledge of FOSS (Free and Open-Source Software) by actively participating in open-source communities. I'm drawn to topics that blend logic and creativity, such as science fiction, crime mysteries, and classic technological pop culture. These aren't just for entertainment; they're also a source of inspiration. I prefer to work at my own pace, meticulously and without compromise, which helps me achieve long-term, stable results.

What I do in my free time?

I mostly spend my free time reading books or watching movies. While science fiction is my favorite genre, I also enjoy stories with elements of mystery and intrigue. I'm a fan of titles like Star Trek, Doctor Who, Futurama, Sherlock Holmes, Back to the Future, and House MD - they're not just entertainment, but also a source of inspiration that sparks imagination and encourages unconventional thinking.

Beyond typical relaxation, I actively participate in FOSS communities, where I share knowledge and continuously learn. My engagement with the open-source world led me to my IT career path. I've been working with GNU/Linux systems for almost ten years, having used various distributions such as OpenSUSE Leap/Tumbleweed, Fedora, Debian, RHEL, Arch Linux, and their derivatives.

What I do at work?

My daily work involves administering campus networks based on devices from Fortigate, MikroTik, Netgear, and Ubiquiti. I design and configure medium-sized networks, ensuring both security and performance. I maintain Linux servers and provide basic administration support for Windows environments.

I have experience with backup technologies (Veeam, AOMEI, Kopia.io, Restic), virtualization environments (Hyper-V, VMware), and file servers based on Synology, OpenMediaVault, SMB/NFS, and Nextcloud. I also create and manage VPN environments using solutions like WireGuard, OpenVPN, Cloudflared, and Zerotier.

I provide both second and third-line technical support, remotely and on-site for clients. I have experience independently deploying Active Directory-based environments, participate in project meetings with clients, conduct physical infrastructure audits, and plan development initiatives.
